LGBT Christian Poetry Contest

I'm new here but I wanted to share with you all an opportunity to make your voices heard in a powerful way. NuWine Press is a Christian book publishing company that "strives to hear All that God is saying by listening to Every voice He uses." Right now that means NuWine Press is sponsoring a poetry contest looking for submissions from LGBT Christians, Christians from all racial denominational and socio-economic backgrounds, Church-goers and non-church-goers, individuals with disabilities and/or physical and mental challenges, women who have struggled with gender oppression. And everyone who wants to help broaden the voice of the Body of Christ.

Here's the website for the poetry contest: www.nuwinepress.com/mystory
please tell your friends (tweet about it - facebook your friends) We have entries from all over the country - all that's missing is you!

My name is Aimee Sims, I started this contest as the launch project for my publishing company. We have a number of other projects in the works so please join our mailing list! I am an African American Lesbian who spent nearly 10 years working on the national desk of The Associated Press newswire. Now I'm spreading the "good news!"
Grace and peace to all the voices filled with NuWine for the next generation of the Body of Christ!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for posting about this contest. My creative juices are flowing again after a very long dry spell. The dry spell had a lot to do with my mom not liking some of my poems because they went against her beliefs. It was crushing because she loved my early poems. Anyway, I'm writing again! Yay! Hopefully my poem(s) will be in before the deadline.

Looking forward to it Brian!

Never stop writing :-)
