You can now embed videos from either YouTube or Google Video in your posts.
Instructions for YouTube Videos
You will first need the unique identification string for the video you wish to embed. You can get the unique identification string from the URL at YouTube. The URL is supplied in the box to the right of the video. It looks something like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaCCe9XVSRo
The identification string in that URL is
gaCCe9XVSRo
Therefore you would type [YOUTUBE]gaCCe9XVSRo[/YOUTUBE]
You can click the
YouTube button in the editor to enter this in.
Instructions for Google Videos
You will first need the unique identification number for the video you wish to embed. You can get the unique identification string from the URL at Google Video. The URL is the address at the top of your browser. It looks something like:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2377783131840330422&hl=en
The identification number in that example is
2377783131840330422.
Don't include the
&hl=en or any other codes that may follow the identification number.
Therefore you would type [GOOGLEVIDEO]2377783131840330422[/GOOGLEVIDEO]
Note that for some videos on Google, the identification number is negative and needs to be entered as such.

Google Video button in the editor to enter this in.
Notes
- The same guidelines for including pictures and text in your posts applies to videos.
- If you edit a post that has a video, the video will seem to disappear after you save your edits. You will need to refresh your browser window for the video to reappear in your post.
