Sort of. The biggest difference is that Jon Stewart never denies that he's spoofing the news media and always denies being an actual journalist. O'Reilly's self-aggrandizing claim is that he's a "No-spin journalist" when he's really just a hack, a shill and a liar.
When Al Franken still had his radio show, one of my favorite segments was when Al would play recordings of completely contradicting excerpts from O'Reilly's radio & television shows. One day ol' Bill would say "I have always held (x) position" and a few days later would just as forcefully be saying "I have never said I held (x) position". What was hilarious was just how often in a two week period Bill-O would do this.
I believe the best descriptor of Bill-O (other than liar) is "blowhard".
