I was born in 1946, the first full year of peace after WWII. At that time, the world leaders established the United Nations. Simultaneously, the world's leaders initiated a half-century-long strategy to create what we have today, namely a world where corporations have human rights, and we do not. It has established three basic economic and politics blocs in the world-with the thinkers and the workers in each group clearly identified.

These corporations have succeeded in creating supra-national legislatures and laws aimed at further eroding the ability of workers to organise and seek equal justice under law.

Seizing the opportunity, theocons and militarists have tied themselves to these blocs, in order to both control and facilitate the end game.....which of course, is a race to the bottom. These three groups each have a currency (pun intended) - the yuan, the eurodollar, the US dollar.

My new capacity requires me to work throughout the world, and I have travelled the world extensively in the past few years since clerical retirement. Our LGBT struggle is all part of this strategy that I have defined as INCREMENTALISM.

Our country, Canada, is a monarchical constitutional democracy as opposed to a monarchical parliamentary democracy. Short explanation = Parliament is not supreme - it shares power with the Crown and the Supreme Court...guided by the Constitution of Canada - now written as opposed to oral - and by our 20-year Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The Right Wing opposed the Charter until they could pass a "Notwithstanding Clause" that could obviate the Charter by will of Parliament.

In Canada, we have three types of governments - namely, the majority government - enough seats to pass anything they want. coalition - two or more parties sharing power and can pass anything they want - and minority governments - always short-lived - where they have a majority of the seats but not enough to pass legislation without votes from opposition parties. If a government fails to win a vote of confidence during a 5-yr term, then the government falls and new elections are held.

Examples of shared strategies is clear. Dobson, Robertson and Falwell operate in Canada as well as in the USA. Right wing political operatives from the USA are working in Canada to undo a left-leaning populace, and the new federal law granting same-sex couples and LGBT singles as well, ALL the equal rights under law.

The same lie is always used. Romney et al use it in Massachusetts, and Harper, the current minority prime minister, uses it in Canada. The canard goes like this: " We want to redefine marriage as the union of one man and one woman." " We do not want to remove the marriage licences from those already married under this statute." "We will grandfather your rights." " However, from a date certain, those rights will terminate." Do you see how incrementalism removes the need to nullify the current marriages is a cruel and disingenuous approach?

How can "people of faith" entertain this approach as ethical and moral? Because, my dear brothers and sisters, these right wing theocons truly believe that this is a battle between Good (them) and Evil (us) and anything is justified in that process.
