I am glad that society is changing down there. I hope you didn't think that I meant everyone was a bigot. I guess I have a stereotype of the South!
My coworker is from Habor Springs, Arkansas and she says that you don't want to be gay there. She took a friend there, who is flammingly gay, and they really treated him poorly. She had been gone from there for about 20 years and had left as a child. She didn't realize that things were still like that there.
I hope that your view of equality will spread there. I guess I can't say to much, I am from here in Michigan and we are not to much the better. We can't be bothered to even pass a law to protect gay people from getting fired for being gay!
