I was actually thinking about this yesterday and I was thinking of starting a thread about it. I really like the format of facebook's chat. However, I decided not to start a thread because the more I thought of it the more I felt that it may ruin part of what's so special about these forums. I think that Brian made a good point about people not thinking before they post and I think that would be a real threat to what we have, which is heart-felt and considerate conversations.

As Kara mentioned, this wouldn't be something that could happen in the immediate future either way. But how to other people feel about this idea?

I vote no to chat-rooms.
