Hmm if I were king for a day I would...
1. Legalize marriage for gays and lesbians. For one month, I would declare all hetero marriages null and void and so they could see how we have to live because of them.
2. I would arrest Dobson, Falwell, Robertson, Rove, and Frist and lock them up indefinitely. Oh the Southern Baptist Convention as well.
3. All churches would be legally bound to not only accept gays and lesbians but would be required to place them in leadership positions.
4. Gay sensitivity courses in all schools would be a requirement.
5. Pass a federal amendment for capital punishment for all perpetrators of hate crimes. ( or at least lock them up)
6. End the war in Iraq and Afghanistan
7. I would nominate Mel White for Secretary of State and Troy Perry as Speaker of the House. Mike Piazza for Senate majority leader. And the whole cabinet would be gays and lesbians ( Ellen, Rosie, Martina, Melissa, etc)
8. Adoption would not be a problem for gays and lesbians.
Hmm.. I guess I could spend a whole lot more time on this, but I won't. Things would be radically different.
