One of the reasons I became Catholic is that I feel the
peace of Christ at Mass. I guess the book
Christian and Catholic wouldn't have been too welcome in the house which you were raised. That book convinced me that Protestants and Catholics weren't all that far apart. Many of the differences are using different terms for the same thing. To get back on topic; this thing in D.C. has me questioning whether or not to stay in the Catholic church.
