This is ridiculous. However, I do think that psychologists/psychiatrists should have the right to refuse to treat people if it is that much in conflict with their beliefs. Nurses (the profession I am training to be in) have that right. However, they should not just ignore the person. If you can't or don't want to help or don't agree about helping, you are OBLIGATED to send them to somebody who will. I second Psycho when he says "you have promised to do no harm, and this harm can be something simple as turning away someone in need." Couldn't have said it BETTER.
