The article briefly mentions the subject of male-male families. Note: This was a 25 year study, and 25 years ago there almost wern't any male-male families. And no research, that I know of.
The lesbians were a far more homogeneous group. They were in a position to decide when, where, and with whom to have children, and to have their children when they were older, and reasonably financially secure.
A few years ago, the daughter of one of our church members spent a summer in Guatemala, and met Pablo, a gay teenager there. Somehow, arrangements were made to bring him here, and D. and S. (guys, and church members) adopted him. The last that I saw, he was in junior college, in town here.
