He was a teacher in every way. He opened our hearts and minds to a world that we would not have otherwise seen. He taught us to love and to stand for who we are, no matter how hard that is at times. He was a solid rock for my sister and I during our parents divorce.
His last year teaching (2006), we called him by his name when the parents were around... but when it was just the kids, he was grandpa.
In the next couple days, the shock will fade and the reality of it will hit me. For now, it doesn't feel real. Rest in peace, to an incredible man. Please pray for his family and friends.

Jennifer, I pray that you and all around you who are affected will find peace and solace as timely as possible. Lots of love from Capitol Hill.

Gennee, I pray that you find employment in a timely manner.
I send out my prayers, as well, to others who need them at this moment.
Please pray for me that I find that I am on the right path in life. Please pray that I have a better relationship with my sister, with whom I just talked on the phone, and that she respects my wish to not speak to any mutual family members that have hurt me in the past and whom I don't have the energy to forgive. Please pray that I have a better relationship with my mother and that she respects that same wish as well. Please pray that I have satisfactory relationships with anyone else in my family, including those who have hurt me, if that is even possible at all.
