I sort of agree with Daniel on here. I tend to applaud the effort, even if the motives aren't great. He's at least trying to reconsile with the LGBTQ community.
I can also see where Alecto's coming from. It's hard to forgive when one has been hurt over and over by the Church. It's easy to be cynical. Geeze, I'm very cynical at times!
However, as somebody who's not LGBTQ (merely a proud straight, cis-gendered ally), I can't really speak from experience. So, I speak as an outsider. Hope my measly two-cents is at lesat worth that. =)
