At no time are you not standing/sitting directly before God. The only place you can start is where you are right now. I'd suggest coming out to yourself first. Stand in front of a mirror, look into your own eyes, see the Spirit shining out of your own eyes, and tell yourself "I love you". Keep doing it until you mean it. It's okay to flirt with God. Give yourself a wink. You're still made in the image and likeness of what you always have been. However much love you can imagine, God will always go you one better. It's about your own acceptance. God can't give you a gift that you will not accept. No-one has managed to out-give God yet. Faith is no harder than you make it.

Allow and accept on the inhale, release all resistance on the exhale.
