Thanks for sharing your story. I will keep you in prayer. I pray that God will direct you on the right path for you as you go forward.
It is tough being in an environment that is not gay-supportive. I am very convinced that Christ works through his church, flawed though it is. Unfortunately there often seems to be a feeling that one can either be devoted to Christ or be gay. I think that is a false choice. Christ is at work in his people whether they are gay or straight.
If God has created you as a gay person, that is where you should be. Each of us can serve God as we are. To hide or lie only weakens our witness. I see a majority of gays who have a real aversion to anything that has the word "Christian" attached to it. That is a tragedy, for the love of God is for everyone.
