I see.My lesbian daughter is about your age (18 this month) but we live in the UK where 16 is the cut off for medical permission from parents.Actually she is being treated for a hormone disorder which affects her moods and I think she needs a psychiatric assessment too, but its all up to her and she can't see the problem. Unfortunately the rest of us have to live with it though!
I also work with quite a few people suffering from psychotic illnesses, so I know quite a bit about that.Are you still in school then?If so isn't there any school assessment of your mental health?In this country we have educational psychologists working with the schools and they assess students and refer where necessary.
Don't forget you are still very young and going through hard times.You are bound to feel unsettled but if you are hearing voices, feeling suicidal or anything like that make sure you get help.
