I'd laugh too if I could, but I'm shaking my head at the moment. Will anyone notice these things, take it seriously, DO something? I rather doubt it. And that makes me profoundly sad. To live in a time when our best minds and thoughts are cast aside, Where logic becomes illogic and real concerns are laughed at: these are the times we seem to be living in now.
America is a strange country (I lived in Spain as a child so have some perspective I think), at once great and playing to the lowest common denominator. Everyone has a TV, refrigerator and a car, the right to pursue one's greed: everything, it seems, that one wants.
We are victims of our 'success'- blinded by samsara. Unable to see our own suffering and the suffering of others.
