Definitely a hate group
I no longer hesitate to classify the AFA as a hate group. They are just as bad as the Traditional Values Coalition. Only look at their site if you can deal with a lot of slime directed at gays; it can be very emotionally disturbing to look around the TVC site.
Shall we all write letters to Ford (again) re-stating our support for Ford's sanity and logical business practice, and re-asserting that the majority of their customer base is fair-minded? Given all the extreme pressure this group is trying to exert, we might be wise to do so. Otoh, I think the AFA is starting to hang itself - check out how they devote a paragraph to lecturing Ford to focus on its product and get out of the cultural war, saying Don't Take Sides, and then in the next paragraph they demand that Ford take THEIR side. Then, that final line about they can no longer trust Ford to keep its verbal agreements is so petulant, it may just cause Ford to mutter, "assholes," while tearing up the letter and writing the AFA and its boycotting members off as a lost cause.
What think y'all?
