Question ??? mood up-lifter

I thought if a bunch of people are part of this thread, we could all probably help each other a lot. After all, I think we all have bad days.

When you're having one of those day's when nothing is going the right way... What do you do to feel better? How are you comforted?

To quote Exodus 7:14, by "worshipping God in the wilderness" or praising God through song, reading, helping others, or etc. while in a time of difficulty.

For example, I like to listen to Contemporary Christian music. Its quite uplifting. Working on my articles help too - brings event into a wider perspective. As always, yoga & meditation are great too.

To use another quote, "Sing to the Lord a new song for he has done marvelous things" (found in the Book of Judith -Catholic edition- and a similar one in Exodus by Miriam). Simply singing alone really uplifts my spirit too.

Hope this helps.

Default Uplifting thought

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

One of the things that I do is post a series called "Sabbath Time" - it's originally on a blog called MyLeftWing on Saturday, then it's crossposted to my other "home" blog StreetProphets on Tuesdays. The latest one was just posted there.
http://www.streetprophets.com/story/.../31/11473/2079

It's a reminder - largely to myself and some others who read, that we cannot pour from an empty cup - and that as important as our work and politics are - we must also play and rest to maintain the balance necessary to do our best in each aspect of our lives.

I invite my Soulforce friends to join me in Sabbath Time, here is the whole series so far

Default Some further food for thought

I have tried to evolve over the years in what I do to help me to feel better. It use to be food, booze, other temporary fixes that still do the trick once in awhile. Mostly now, I call on family, hug my daughter, do something nice for someone, let myself cry in a warm tub with a candle, drink a glass of wine, read, reconnect with someone far away, write in a journal. What seems to help is for me to have many choices in my arsenal when I need them. I hope this helps. Never give up, there are always many new ways to feel better and still feel good about you.

Keep the faith. Vanessa:
