Iowa Supreme Court struck down their gay marriage ban. Imagine that! It is sweeping across the US. A Midwest farm state? Come on, why can't Texas?
Congratulations Iowans!!!!

I'm currently going to school in Iowa City, and the night the ban was lifted I attended a celebratory rally. The energy there, and in the city itself for the rest of the night was fantastic!!! I'm so happy for all my gay friends it's difficult to express my joy. I can't wait to attend a same-sex marriage in my state!! |

It is a very simple question. Should gay/lesbian/trans gender unions have all of the same rights, privileges and responsibilities as those afforded to married couples. The answer is yes. A marriage is a merging of the rights, privileges and responsibilities of a man and a woman. A union is a merging of the rights, privileges and responsibilities of a gay/lesbian/trans gender couple. Problem solved.
