Default PA Marriage Amendment Defeated again!

Pulling this from PA for Marriage email that I received:

Quote:
It's a sad day in Harrisburg as marriage in Pennsylvania continues to remain vulnerable to redefinition. By an 8-6 decision, the State Senate Judiciary Committee halted the advancement of SB 707, the Marriage Protection Amendment.
The latest polling in Pennsylvania indicates a vast majority of citizens believe they should have the opportunity to vote on a marriage protection amendment. Today, eight State Senators voted to deny us that opportunity.

Here is the list of the eight Senators who voted to kill SB 707:
Sen. Lisa Boscola, District 18- Bethlehem (610) 868-8667
Sen. Patrick Browne, District 16- Allentown 610-821-8468
Sen. Jay Costa, District 43- Pittsburgh 412-241-6990
Sen. Jane Earll, District 49- Erie 814-453-2515
Sen. Wayne Fontana District 42- Pittsburgh 412-344-2551
Sen. Daylin Leach District 17- Del, Mont Cos. 610-468-4200
Sen. Mike Stack District 5- Philadelphia 215-281-2539
Sen. Mary Jo White Dist. 21- Franklin, Butler, etc (814) 432-4345
of course, for PA For Marriage, it's a dark day; for Equality it's an encouraging sign! another attempt to write discrimination into the PA Constitution has been defeated!

If you're in PA, you may want to contact those members of the Senate Judiciary Committee who voted to table the bill (thus killing it) and Thank them!

Congratulations! And I'm perplexed and offended by those who think they're the victims when not allowed to vote against the rights of others.
