Default I am a christian

I am a Christian but I am not judgmental. I am a Christian but I am not hateful. I have the love of Christ in my heart which gives me the love of my fellow man. The Bible says God gives us faith, hope and love but the greatest is love. I am a Christian which gives me apathy for those who are confused and hurting. I will not judge when I don't know what someone is going through. We all have a cross to bear and a war to fight within us. I believe God created us so therefore God does not make mistakes. I do not believe anyone is lesser then me so therefore I will fight for anyone's rights to be treated fairly and equally. I will love everyone and not put myself above anyone for any reason. I am a Christian and believe everyone is beautiful and equal in Gods eyes. I will not tell you you cannot love the person you fall in love with. I will not tell you that love is wrong or a sin. I cannot see into your heart and make that judgement. I will be your friend. I will work beside you. I will welcome you into my home and my church with open arms. I will be thankful when you and your partner or spouse gives a needy child a home and not say they or you don't deserve that chance. I will accept you as my brother and sister in Christ and not say you are not truly a Christian. I cannot make that judgement. You are my equal. I will not disown you or say you have brought shame to my family. I will love you unconditionally. We are all equal in God's eyes. I will not say you cannot marry the one you love or hold the one's hand you love as they take their last breath. What right do I have to deny you that? You are beautiful as you are. I won't deny you the right to be true to yourself. I am a Christian and I will be your friend. May God bless everyone no matter who you are or who you choose to love

Hello Patrici,

I just wish that everyone who took the name of "Christian" would be as Christlike in attitude as you are. I also am a Christian, but I often cringe when I hear the word because it is so often a negative rather than a positive.

There is nothing negative in the grace of God!

Thank you for that beautiful post. You are a gem on a pile of rubbish. I've had my fill of Christians and their self-righteous moralizing. I wish more were like you. Blessings.

Default You're right

I think it is nice to read things like this. I totally agree with Patrici, because being a christian means being a good person who understands others and respects them. It is sad when some people who don’t believe in Jesus think that the ones who do believe, like us, are people who always judge, criticize and have no mercy. I really think we believers are meant to teach with our own example and show others the love Jesus has given us.

Hello Patrica,

Indeed your post is affirming and very postive, if only more could learn to live by these words we would indeed be better off. As written by Augustine: "Beauty is indeed a good gift of God; but that the good may not think it a great good, God dispenses it even to the wicked."

Augustine also said " Since love grows within you, so beauty grows. For love is the beauty of the soul."

Bless you,
Rosie
