Beyond Labels

This past Thursday, the Beyond Labels ministry at church held its first meeting for the new calender year. This ministry is the LGBTQI ministry started last June. Many ideas were presented as to how the ministry can reach out to the community.

I mentioned about Transgender Day of Remembrace ceremony next month. I have seen a number of trans folks in my neighborhood. It is a hidden community but its there. My desire is to reach out to transgender people and share God's love with them. There are a number of gay and lesbian couples at the church. I'm told that there are transgender folks who do attend.Thus far I'm the only one who is out to the congregation.
