That was wonderful!!!
Aside from the words, which were incredibly moving, the cantor in me was struck bythe harmony in the refrain. And they all looked so young. Clearly a lot of talent in that group. It brings to mind something a professor emailed to me just this weekend: "I've often referred to this country as a "teenager" on the world stage. Other countries, especially European nations, seem to be able to take issues in stride (see sex, drugs, etc) as seasoned and mature souls are able to, but the United States seems to perpetually be in a state of freaking out and declaring war on everything (see War on drugs, etc.)..." I think she's got a valid point. While all of you here have helped me to define who I am simply by sharing so openly, I would still feel lucky just being loved. And I would still believe that love is a Divine gift. I don't believe we choose whom we love; rather, I believe we are given the gift of love and are also gifted with the ability to return that love. For some of us, that love happens once in a lifetime. For others, it happens many times, each time just as rewarding. Okay, enough of the soapbox...Sorry about the detour! It's a fantastic song. Thank you so much for posting the link here. --Dawn
