I really love Ellen DeGeneres. I like her talkshow now and I admire the way she doesn't hide herself. No, she doesn't wave rainbow flags everywhere (I would, but then again maybe that's why so many more conservative Americans can like her) and she doesn't make a big deal of it, but I don't think she has to because that already happened for her quite a while ago. I like her clothing style on the show, too. It's perfectly androgenous and very attractive.
What do you think of Ellen? Good? Bad? Crazy?

Ya know, I haven't followed the Ellen phenomenon - I don't tend to observe celebs, doesn't interest me much.
But I DID watch the Ellen-Coming-Out-Episode of her show - was that 9 years ago?! I was living in a dorm with a TV room with one TV - thankfully, there were many in that dorm who also wanted to see The Episode. Do I remember the actual episode? No - I remember anticipating it. I remember going to the TV room and watching it with the rest o' the gang. And I remember boycotting Wendy's for an indefinitely long time after Wendy's pulled its commercials because of the lesbian content. Haven't really followed her career since that moment.

I catch a bit of Ellen on Comedy Central every now and then. She's really great! I love the quality of her voice, and her wry delivery. Her routine about meeting god, is brilliant!!

And everyone knows Ellen is quite the dancer!
I enjoy her talk show on the rare occasion when I can watch it. She has a good sense of humor and it's fairly clean, so it's okay to watch it with the nieces and nephews (the ones who's parents won't freak). All of the above, and I've always been attracted to her....great smile!

It's funny that with her talk show, nobody really says that she's gay. Then, right after her show is the View with Rosie O'Donnell. With Rosie on the View, it's very open and discussed that she's gay and has gay friends and has adopted children with her partner.
In the television audience, my gf's mother and grandmother watch both shows every day. Her mother likes Ellen because "she's quiet about herself" and can't stand Rosie. Interesting...
