We are perhaps spoiled in that this forum seems to attract highly educated and articulate folk.
I think it would not be too hard to find liberal quotes that are just as stupid as the ones on that website. That makes me sadder... I expect rank-and-file conservatives to be at best intellectually dishonest and at worst the sort of babbling fools exposed on the site. If someone has a broader view of political reality and human compassion, but expresses it with hyperbole, weak reasoning and paranoid conpiracy fantasies... it just makes intelligence look bad. James

You know... when I read those I really shake my head in disbelief... what is this world coming to? What is happening to education and common sense? I'm backing off a previously more defensive approach to these conservatives, and I think we should promote education. People hate because they simply do not know. I was holding my boyfriend's hand in public today and some guy threatened us with violence... oh did I mention this was next to my campus police station (of which a few of the cops I know)?
Homophobes in my experience aren't exactly the sharpest and most emotionally sound. When I read those statements I can really say they don't have any common sense for their statements, and they may lack higher education.
