Default Andrew, You're Talking About My People !

I know Barbara Satin, she's a member of my church.

http://www.soulforce.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1093

I know Reverand Rebecca, she used to be my/our pastor. She now heads up the Institute For Welcoming Resources, which is the religious arm of the N.G.L.T.F. And, she's due in March, or thereabouts!

I haven't been paying attention! (Well, Rebecca goes to another Church) It's a beautiful baby girl, Shannon MacKenzie George Voelkel !

http://www.welcomingresources.org/ -- OOPS, I Guess you just said that.

They're wonderful people, and they're great organizers.

Much Peace and Love, Bruce Chris

P.S. Andrew, Google offers me 100,000's of FirstLight. Where can I find it?

P.P.S. There's a FirstLight in St Louis, with links to NARTH, and EXODUS, not the one.

Default FirstLight

From the FirstLight group page:
Quote:
First Light is a community for sharing concern, struggle, experience and opinion on integration of healthy LGBTQ sexual identity and practice and sincere faith identity, believing these are compatible and that sexual and spiritual integration is God's will for all.
It can be found at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FirstLight/

The group is moderated by Soulforce member Hallam, and is California based, I believe. They are not the empoying group, nor even closely related as far as I know. They simply posted the job search as a service, I think.

Since you are local to the Twin Cities and part of the community, you may know people who would fit the bill and should apply - if not yourself.

I will also post this at United Theological Seminary, if it isn't already.

I would love the opportunity to try for this position, but the Cities are 4 hours away from where I live.

Cool I'll nose around a bit, and see what I can find

I like to refer to the members of my congregation as "overeducated human service professionals", and I'm sure that they'll see the ad, but I'm mostly a mechanic at heart. When I'm not helping out at church, i'm usually getting dirt under my fingernails.

Tomorrow, we are having a meeting of the local chapter of the UCC Coalition for GLBT Concerns. I'm sure that the word will get out there.

Peace and Love, Bruce Chris
