Default it is hot

83.3 degrees at my house. I'm sitting here at my computer doing nothing... and its hot. Is it hot anywhere else in the world, or is it just down here in Southern California that summer visits us during the middle of March?

I was just in South China for 3 weeks and high temperatures were pretty consistently in the 70s, so it isn't just SoCal.

No, not just. We were just as warm here today. And with no clouds to dilute the intensity of the sun. And only about 5% humidity. I drank a gallon of water by 3 this afternoon. Ahhhh. . . spring in Phoenix. Luckily it's still cool enough to open windows at night.

I don't think it got above 50 here today. Does the sun still shine? we rarely see it here.

...that's the same thing we have going...... high 40s to low-mid 50s...and as for that thing they saw, it was out for a few minutes Saturday, but I think that's the last time we really saw the fun

There's too much sun out here. I'd gladly send ya some if I could figger a way to bottle and ship it.

Or, ya could always take a vacation trip to sunny Phoenix - but not in July like Nathan, it'll be 117 F degrees then. If you leave a water-bottle in the car in the Phoenix summer, better have a tea bag handy. And be careful sipping - or you'll burn your lips.

Ah, yes, i remember Pittsburgh skies. That's one of the main reasons i moved to New Mexico - plenty of sunshine & blue skies here!

However, we're in the same situation as Zerbie - a scarcity of water (but not quite as bad as Phoenix). So Steve: 'yunz' send us water, we'll send sunshine.

Pax,

We are starting to get some sunny skies. It was in the 70's today and will be 80 tomorrow!

I have been a little down so I welcome all the sunshine!

I wish I was in Cali though, even if it is HOT! I was born in West Covina, California. Now I am in the south. How did that happen?

It has been in the 70's here, which is a high for Boise. It was weird wearing shorts in the middle of March, sometimes I am still skiing in March.

Default Roller Coaster

Here in the Northeast tip of Iowa, we hit 70 and sunny yesterday afternoon. Of course, now we're back to normal - we have freezing rain. Sigh. This is a bit of a drag for someone who likes it over 90 degrees.

Boy oh boy have I got the place for you! The AC is on right now, just to keep the house 80 degrees inside.

Wanna visit Phoenix?

Actually, not Phoenix, but thanks.

Anywhere outside of that particular bowl - absolutely, in a heartbeat. I love Tucson, and just about everywhere else, but I do like to breath and that can get tough in Phoenix.

My mother used to live in Tubac, and before that Green Valley, so I visited every chance I got.

Ugh! So true!!!! I had the best breathing habits and nasal health in the world when I moved here. Now, if I can breathe through both nostrils at the same time, or even on the same DAY, I'm elated. Last winter was the worst - it didn't rain for 5 or 6 months, and with the city and 'burbs sprawled between mountains, all the pollution and crud got caught for MONTHS - there was a thick, visible brown cloud hanging over the valley, til it finally rained one friday last February.

I agree - Tucson is wonderful!!!!
