Just to prove there are sensible, self-restrained, tasteful people on these boards - you know, those who aren't compelled to compete with each other to see who can give the bigger gift or the most colorful birthday greeting - let me just wish you a wonderful birthday along with a wish for many, many more.
Of course, if I was a little more adept at using the tools on the boards, my message would have bigger, brighter and, most certainly, the best. As it is, I'll settle for the most tasteful.

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes!!!
  And thanks for the compliments as well! It's been a great birthday so far - a weekend in San Francisco along with plenty of raw oysters, my sweetie cooking me a cooked to order birthday dinner to share with her parents and my sister and nephew, plus a cake from the best bakery in the Sacramento area, and there is a gift waiting for me in the next room. Which reminds me, I have yet to shake, smell and feel around the box - yes, I'm a total present freak and other than unwrapping it prematurely, I will try anything to figure it out! You are all the best, and I'm so blessed to consider you all my friends, and that you consider me a friend as well. Many blessings to you all!! T-dogg (by the way, I may be middle-aged chronologically, but inside I'm going on 29....)

So, I'm getting ready to call it a night, but wanted to report that my home-cooked meal by my sweetie was magnificent, the cake was incredible, I got some cool presents, but most of all I was able to share my special day with my love, her parents (also consider them to be mine), my best sister and one of my nephews, as well as all of you! Thanks for all the wishes, this was one of the best, if not the best Birthday I've had! And I even get taken to lunch tomorrow by my other sister! Good nite all, sweet dreams!
