Default Dear Stacy

Stacy, over at writingright doesn’t believe gays have been victims of hate or discrimination. She says in her own words that we play the victim card. She feels and has stated on her blog how we play the victims when we are not really victims. I thought I would open a thread on my blog for people to leave their stories. Let Stacy she is wrong about us "faking" the the victim status.

I believe Stacy is just misinformed, and needs to how we have suffered.

If anyone should leave a post on this thread that is not a story of being gay, and suffering for it. I will delete it, with no questons asked. They reason for this is because I am opening up this for comments from gays to prove a point. We have been victims, but we are survivors. We will keep surviving, but this injustice needs to change. It will not change until we force that change. It will not change until understanding has been reached and misinformation has been replaced with truth.

So please, tell Stacy your story, and invite others gays to do the same. The more stories the better.

Please start all comments with….Dear Stacy,

Not that I think I need to remind anyone, but Stacy is not the enemy. She just lacks the proper information to make a good judgement about gays. I would like to send her that message she is missing in love. Please send your story. I also remind folks my website gets about 14,000 hits a month. Your story will be read by many. Just thought I should share that before you post.

Joe

Default Thanks, Joe!

Joe: thanks for the opportunity to open up minds and share stories. I hope that it helps to open up a mind, one and maybe hundreds. I feel more like a survivor than a victim these days, my own word choice, but there is way too much hate that still exists against gays and lesbians for there not to be victims every day of violent words and/or actions. I really hope that this helps. Every little bit can make a difference. Peace to you, Vanessa
