Haggard is looking for a way to wreck more lives

DENVER (AP) — Rev. Ted Haggard moved last week from his longtime home in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Phoenix where the disgraced minister will join the same church that helped fallen televangelist Jim Bakker. Haggard, 50, resigned as president of the National Association of Evangelicals last year, after a former male prostitute alleged a three-year cash-for-sex relationship. As part of Haggard’s severance package from New Life Church, a 14,000-member congregation he started in his basement, Haggard agreed to leave Colorado Springs, a city he helped make an evangelical center. In Phoenix, Haggard plans to pursue a graduate degree in counseling at an area university.

Could it possibly be my university he'd be attending? (No other major univerity is in Phoenix, just community colleges.)
Oh gee whiz, as in, I might run into Ted Haggard when I stop to buy a sandwich at the student union?

Then again, maybe somehow he will learn something in the grad classes on counseling, and perhaps learn something about himself and the nature of gay persons. Mel White took about 40 years to get it sorted out. . . .

It just bothers me that people, things, and monies connected to Dobson keep coming RIGHT HERE to my town. Is Haggard still a Dobson pawn? He's being used. Let's just rename FOF, Focus on Phoenix.

Things are heating up in Phoenix, and I don't mean the weather (you can actually still walk outside without getting heat stroke.) Well if they think they can mess with the gay population here they're in for a surprise. There is way too much love and support within the gay community and its straight loved-ones for anyone to get away with any MORE *$%# here.

Haggard is a miserable man who can't give up his wife and kids and reputation or lack thereof, to be gay. He is so gay, but too much is at stake for him to walk away from his life. He will continue down this miserable path, sneaking around in bath houses and such, having indiscriminate sex and will most likely contract the HIV virus because of his back alley ways. I believe this is why God call us to live authentic lives and not slink around. I left my straight life after I came out to God (like He didn't know) and decided to live an authentic Christian life as a lesbian. I am not to be applauded, because I left too late.

It's never too late to come out of the closet and be yourself. I applaude you no matter how late you came out.

I know a man in his late 70s who is still living in the closet to please others instead of himself. It's a real shame that he may go to his grave and never know the happiness that comes from simply being who you are.
