Hello all. Long story short, I'm a lesbian with a presbyterian dad for a minister, wanted to be an actress, then follow in his footsteps, his church said no, I started drinking in excess, I finally got sober, went to hollywood, almost lost sobriety, and am finally returning to Christ after leaving smoke and mirrors of Hollywood.

I met Jake of SoulForce about 4 years back at a More Light Presbyterian Retreat in NYC. I was inspired then, I guess you can say the seed was planted.

I want to know more.
I would love to start a magazine that supports the cause...I do publication design...is there already one in existance? Can I get paid work through SoulForce so I can leave my day job and contribute all of me to this movement?

I want to hear your experiences. I look forward to hearing from you!!!

Hi Jen. My Dad's a minister too! And I too wanted (still want to, actually) follow in my Dad's footsteps! You should check out my "hello my name is." We have some things in common. I know you said you left the smoke and mirrors of hollywood, did you just leave the smoke and mirrors or did you leave CA altogether? I'm really new to the forum as well, but welcome!
