And, as a result, the Department of Defense won the dubious distinction of receiving yesterday's Worst Persons in the World Award on Keith Olbermann's Countdown on MSNBC.

I was in the Navy before DADT. I had to lie about being gay and couldnt afford to even breath a word of anything relating to homosexuality. It was very difficult for me then. I wasnt out yet, however, the pressure that I knew I couldnt if I felt the time was right made things even more difficult for me. DADT is just a bunch of crap. The studies that have been done do not support that homosexuals present any type of danger or threat to anything the military stands for. But they, as a good government system, refuse to see the facts. They just want to stay under the "old straight boys" club. Pressure from the right isnt helping either.
I find it funny that when they really need someone they will bring them back despite the fact that they discharged him for being gay. I am referring to the guy that was discharged and then brought back to active duty. I mean it he is alright to serve in a war but otherwise he cant be in the military. What kind of message is this sending anyone? It is simply moronic and without basis. It just really irritates me to no end!!!! ![]() ![]()
