Good morning everyone. I saw this site referred to in an email from a listserv I belong to and thought I would stop by and check it out. I was initially raised Methodist, and then Baptist. During my teen years I was a Jehovah's Witness, then LDS, then finally I ended up COGIC. I eventually left the church about 15 years ago and have as of yet to return.

I am always open to different interpretations and ideas and love room for discussion. I look forward to familiarizing myself with this forum and it's members.

Hi Jazay,

Can I ask why you finally left the church? Your movement was the opposite to that which we see most of the time - normally we would see something like from COGIC or AoG to a more mainline/liberal church. You went the other way, and then left. I just like interesting and different stories.

Hi Jazay,

Peace to you, like you I've been through many denominations, (Anglican, Elim, Baptist, AoG, URC - I think that's Presbeterian over there) but since finding Jesus loved me as I was and wanted me near him, it hasn't mattered, I'm now 'home' in one church, but often visiting others.

I'd encourage you to keep looking and reading the Bible (a modern translation that you understand) and look to Jesus as He loves us. Let God lead you to where he wants you to be.

Love in Jesus

Hello Jazay,
I was encouraged by my parents to go to many different kinds of Churches. It was a great experience to see all the diversity. The J.W. and LDS were the closeest to my home Church Denomination, but lacked the openness towards LGBT folks.
When I decieded to serve God through the Church of Thomas I felt my search was over. Mom teases me that I'm the first Evangelist for the Church of Thomas. I've never researched it so it is possible. Good luck in your search for meaning.
Hugs,
Angel
