Default Formatting your messages: Standard Editor with vB Code or Enhanced Editor

A common question is "How are users formatting their messages?"

The answer is with vB Code. Here is the link to the instructions:

However a better option is that, depending on your browser, you may be able to use the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) enhanced editor instead of the standard editor. The WYSIWYG editor handles the vB Code behind the scenes.

When posting a message, you will see a button in the top right corner of the editor. It is the button to switch Editor modes.



If the WYSIWYG editor works nicely for you, you may even want to make it your default editor. You can do that by going to your User Options. On that page, scroll to the bottom to the section Miscellaneous Options. There you can set your editor to be Basic, Standard (default), or Enhanced (WYSIWYG).
