Talking Hey Y'all from Ga

Ok so that's the first time I've said y'all... anyways! This site is so interesting to me! I'm so happy I found it! I'm Shawn-Marie and I currently go to Columbus State University! I'm part of the soccer team. Well I hope to learn more and get to know people who also deal with the religion sexuality issue!

Hey guys, I didn't know where to put this, so I just put it here.

I go to a public college, but it might as well be a christian university when it comes to athletics. Well I just found out that my coach really wants me to move in with my team, which is mostly straight. Well there is like 1 person that is out and she lives off campus. So I was really worried about this b/c I don't know how my team is going to react, so I talked to our keeper coach about it and she was really uplifting about it. I was really worried about it b/c on the softball team you basically will be shunned off the team for being gay even though the coach is gay.(real christian way to act...) I'm still worried about it, but my Coach helped to show me what I can do to make things a little easier. It should be interesting. It'll be odd sitting in my apartment and having my teammates be there b/c my apartment has always been my place away from them, where I can sing and stuff. Most of my team is christian, as I am, but most of my team has the strict southern version of Christianity, which I don't. Well see i hope it goes well!! I hope I can introduce into them acceptance and Christ's full Love for those that don't have it.

That sounds like a difficult situation.... you should listen to the coach, she sounds like she can help... I'm sure you'll be just fine
