Lord...
You know how broken we all are and so I'm on my knees today to ask you to forgive our shallowness, our greed, and our weakness I ask that you bring your light to all people and show us how to love as your son did That we might die a small death for one another daily That we would give each other space to grow and move together against wrongdoing That we would give room For different beliefs without stereotyping, ignoring, depriving or devaluing others Please reveal your will to all of those here as they seek Your face and let your followers be the light of the world, the salt of the earth, and a city on a hill... That we might put aside our differences And walk towards You in love Until you come again to abolish all death, all hatred, all suffering, and all confusion And hold us in your arms for eternity Watch over those who are caring for loved ones, worried about obligations, lonely, angry, and lost, and lead them to help, friends, and faith... Heal the rifts between your Church and the gay community, the tears between the Church and the multicultural community the sinkholes between the Church and the handicapped Because Jesus wept over Lazaras I put my faith in you, dear Lord Because you know our thoughts, our minds, our bodies Even when I'm angry at You, or I don't understand You, I know You created them And you are always just, merciful, loving and perfect...
