Now that I've found soulforce, I'm hoping to get people together and starting a group locally. Vanessa is actually nearby and interested as well.
I live in a pretty conservative town in northeast PA where there is a large, but largely hidden, gay population. Homophobia is moderately high - in fact, a local baptist church had the phrase "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" on their big roadside bulletin. *Adam and Steve need love, too!!* I'm going through the Startup Kit and planning processes, but I thought I'd ask the pro's for input. For anyone in a local Soulforce group now, I've got a few questions: - What kind of activities does your group do? - Any advice to a budding group? - Do you have any regrets that I should learn from?
