Please pray...
That the man who molested me as a child will never molest anyone else That my best friend who abandoned me for an abusive fiance will never be abused by him That the abusive man who married my friend will learn to truly love others That my advisor who is far away will continue doing well at his new job That I will turn to God when I am angry and have compassion for those who are unkind That the professors who treated me with prejudice because of my learning disorder will have their academic work blessed for the kingdom of God That understanding will abound between me and the people I love That I will pray for those who persecute me and bless those who injure me: that God will preserve the loving spirit that is my true nature. That I might have wisdom, humility and courage. |

These are very good thoughts to bring up now and then, Progo. I find that I have to keep reminding myself to get back to a place of forgiveness, humility and love.

Progo,
The attitude you are desiring is needed by so many. Too often it is easier to get angry or not to show love in the midst of difficult circumstances...especially when we as individuals are wronged. Your post reminded me of a passage from 1 Corinthians: "We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! But for right now, until all that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love estravagantly. And the best of the three is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:12-13 The Message
