Bonhoeffer
(icon by Lewis Williams ) Dietrich Bonhoeffer was hanged on April 9 shortly before allies liberated his interment camp. He is someone who struggled with the meaning of nonviolence in the midst of Nazi rule. He represents for me the struggle of what and when and how nonviolence is applied.
