Default Do these people even think?
on my way home from work, I pass a Baptist church. It has a sign out front that often displays a variety of messages. Today it said "Hope is Greater than Faith" and I was thinking "just what does that mean?"


a few weeks ago, the same church sign said "Liberalism is not Christianity"

I'm guessing these are buzzwords for the congregation, and as I recall from reading one of their ads in our local paper, they must be independent and conservative. Maybe the gay couple should stop in for a visit!

The worst one I ever saw was "This blood's for you" on a conservative Reformed Church.

Hubby saw this sign affixed to the wall of the balcony of a Baptist Church in the South....

Please Worship on a Lower Level.

At some churches (mine does this), the sign posts the title of the upcoming sermon, which tends to lead to more cryptic sayings than those who just put up a 'bumper sticker.'

Faith means: Belief without evidence. Hope means: To desire with expectation of fulfilment. Hope refers to something that is tangible....so your guess is as good as mine. Looks like thier faith is in hope.

Good idea, but only a liberal couple who could hope for enough faith to display christianity.

Just like Christian bumper stickers I don't like church billboard signs that tell someone how religious they are, whether be on a bumper of a car or in front of a church. I think your faith and personal relationship w/ Christ should show on how you act, talk and treat and love other people not on how well the saying is on a bill board or how religious you might sound on a bumper sticker.Christ could care less what you have on a church bill board or what you have on your bumper. Advertising religion is a real pet peeve to me. Jesus Christ is NOT RELIGION. Jesus Christ is the Saviour. Religion is what some people hide behind to act holier than thou.
