Anything, Anywhere

If right now you could be anywhere, doing anything, with who ever you want.... and I mean anything, a price limit, no weather issues... anything.... what would you be doing?

I am amazingly blessed, and this question just points that right out at me.

I would say, number one, hangin' out with hubby and a bunch of musician/singer/actors of all ages, types, orientations, talking about life, theater, music, dance, food, fun - all sorts of things. And that *is* how I've spent most of this weekend!!!



That said, I would still like to go see Hawaii, Spain, Alaska, and Africa. And I would love for the weather we're having today to be about as hot as the summer gets, but it's still only spring, so ask this question in a few months and I'll be saying Get Me To Alaska Post Haste!!!

I'd probably want to be at my absolute favorite place on Earth so far: Roosevelt Island in NYC.

There's a lighthouse and pink blossoming trees by the edge of the water. You can take a tram car to get there and go visit the public park with rolling hills of lush green grass, right behind the lighthouse. In the springtime, like now, all the trees are blooming and it smells wonderful. The sun shines and there's a breeze off the water and it's a little piece of heaven on Earth.

It's just amazing. In a perfect world, I'd like to have my wedding right there.

Right where I am right now... In the shade, under a palm tree, around the corner from the pagoda, down the street from Truc Bach Lake... But I would add one single thing... one important thing, one thing I can never have here... MY GIRL!!!

I am finally home after being in San Francisco for 4 days, for training, and I wouldn't give this up right now for any trip, vacation or activity in the world! My girlfriend will be home in a little over 2 hours and I CAN'T WAIT!!! My pets are here in my home office with me, I'M SO HAPPY.

I would be here in my room watching tv with my girlfriend. I miss her so much... dang military. I really want to take her to San Fran or to where I used to live, so after being here, i would take her to everywhere.

(I'm not allowed to travel out-of-country while my immigration papers are being processed, and my grandfather hasn't been well enough to travel this past year.)

Everything Everywhere all the time forever, Except for anywhere where the idea of “not happy” exists.. Unless of course I can use that at my disposal (just in case I get too happy.. It could happen.).

In human terms anyway I’d like to be everybody who has somebody.

Like while only having tea with my grandmother or watching T-V with my girlfriend or waiting for her with the kids or "pets" as the other humans call them, sometimes even in their own home office, I’ll take my fruit any way I can as long as it’s in the shade under the palm tree by the lake with the lighthouse on the island next to the theater bar with the band that holds open mic night every Thursday.

-Just having a little bit of fun, but I do wish I could be somewhere, with someone.

I'm off in an hour or so for Texas until Friday nite, for work. So, my first choice would still be home, especially tonight when I'm all alone in the hotel room.

If you have time, send some good thoughts and prayers my way for a safe trip and return home. I'm not fond of flying, but seem to be on a plane at least 2 x a month!

Probably won't get to the forums all week, I'll miss you guys. There's no place like home (or here!)...

I don't think that's corny either Lydia - I really miss my grandma who died years ago (I have one living and don't get to see her enough either), and I often remember the times we shared, sitting at the table, having dinner or just talking and laughing. She was like a best friend and a wonderful old soul.
