Well, educated people can believe far-out things, too. I do. Just not as far out as some, i guess.

You're right that the first premise has nothing to do with its supposed 'conclusion.' Scientology sounds cultish and unhealthy now, wherever it originally came from. I hope that dangerous cults don't get painted as somehow coming from atheism.

I have so much respect for atheists (considered myself one for a long time). It really bothers me when people act like there is something wrong with that (yeah, tangent, I know. It's been a long weekend and my brain is fried.)
