Default "Alive Day" film about Iraq vets

I just a Netflix movie called "Alive Day Memories". It was James Gandolfini interviewing kids who were injured in Iraq. They ranged from the 24 year old woman leiutenant who lost an arm to the Marine who was shot twice in his head and now has traumatic brain injury. This guy can't walk or hardly talk but can still sing the MArine Hymn. It made me bawl.

The vets tell their stories and there is film from news sources, cameras in the humvees, and insurgant released film. The insurgent films has humvees blowing up and people screaming and cussing. Then in the background you here the camera guy yelling "Allah Ackbar". It p#ssed me off so much to hear that. I don't get people who kill in the name of religion. Either with IEDs or blowing up abortion clinics

Alive Day Memories
From Executive Producer James Gandolfini

Alive Day Memories

Home From Iraq

In a war that has left more than 25,000 wounded, ALIVE DAY MEMORIES: HOME FROM IRAQ looks at a new generation of veterans. Executive Producer James Gandolfini interviews ten Soldiers and Marines who reveal their feelings on their future, their severe disabilities and their devotion to America. The documentary surveys the physical and emotional cost of war through memories of their "alive day," the day they narrowly escaped death in Iraq.

Like I said, this is a copy and paste, but there's a lot to take in here that is worthwhile.

I initially supported Bush's plan to go to war against Saddam. But 7 years later we are no closer to finding Bin Laden than we were before. And our military has to fight this endless war that is serving no other purpose than to bust them up and keep dragging this thing out when even if we do capture Bin Laden, there are 30 more just like him willing to take up where he left off. This war is futility. My heart goes out to these Marines. They are just doing their job. I blame Bush and his bully tactics with Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran. We need diplomacy and moderation. This is ridiculous and how Bush can still justify using our tax dollars to finance a war that is futile at best is reprehensible.
