Default Hello all

I was encouragd to participate in this introduction right of passage...sorry for being so late in involving myself

Greetings,

My name is JD. Well, not really, but for privacy sake and all let's just roll with that.

I'm currently a sophomore college student studying history, political science, public administration and theology for my undergrad. The idea would be to complete school to the best of my abilities, and further my education through law school after graduation. But, as many of us here know, we make plans...and God laughs

I have a wide variety of interests, hobbies, time consumers, and mostly just love living life to the best of my ability, and making some great friends along the way. God has certainly blessed me in the area of great frienships.

Currently at school, I'm involved in a variety of activities, inlcuding ministry teams to both a church in town and my Sunday church residing in the inner-city, acting representative for all History and Political Science majors on campus for the Hist/Gov Department Board of Students, serving on the College Republicans leadership board, serving on the dorm's student leadership team (called Summit), leading a Bible study both at my church's youth group (a leadership team for teens) and a discipleship group for guys in my dorm. I'm also enjoying time on the soccer and basketball teams, and working a little on campus as well. If you can't tell already, I'm just loving school.

Luke 12:48 is one of my favorite verses, along with Acts 20:24.

If you'd like to know more specifics, or anything at all, just grab a hold of me.

Well you are in som fine company. Notwithstanding the very few of us here who use our real names, myself included, the vast majority use a pseudonym for the same reason - privacy - and, of course, safety.

Can't tell you how many times laughed at my plans - of course, so do my wife, friends, relatives and usually my kids. Sigh.

JD - my goodness, you ahve a lot on your plate. Keen mind, I'm guessing - which is backed up by your other posts so far. Out of curiosity, but not in need of any response if it is an improper question, is your pseudonym about your anticipated terminal degree?

The "good news of God's grace" - amen to that. I would have to say that my favorite - or one of them - is Ephesians 4:1-7.

Looking forward to dialogue with you, JD. Blessings to you.

And you have yet to observe the vastness of my extra curricular activities as well, my friend. Then you may be surprised. Ha.

As for the "JD" title, it actually has nothing to do with a Juris Doctorate, but I suppose the correlation does work in the end.

Thanks JD,

already, I feel like I know more about you as a person, instead of just a screen name with some puzzling posts.

What's your interest in soulforce? what about your interest in gay and lesbian issues?
