I'm so excited!!!!!

I went to the Obama headquarters today for the training to register voters. I am so excited to finally be doing something about this problem! I also went online and ordered my bumper stickers, button, and made a small, very small donation to the Obama campaign.

It made me feel as if in some small way I was helping. If we all just do a little something maybe we really can make a difference. At least if we don't win, we will know that we were part of the solution.

I know there are several people here that are also volunteering politically this year. What are you doing? Any helpful hints or suggestions?

I've also been volunteering for the Obama Campaign. Yesterday I spent the afternoon at the Democratic Headquarters stuffing envelopes. This Saturday I'll spend the day canvassing door to door for Obama. It really feels good to be involved.

Plus, it takes my mind off all the money I've lost in the stock market this week.

I would have loved to go but was at the beach for the weekend. Do you know if he is coming back to NC? Michelle Obama was here in Greensboro on Thur but the tickets went in an hour!!!

I wasn't able to make it to Charlotte either. I don't know when Obama will be in North Carolina again but with the state polls close, I expect it will be soon.

I'm taking off for the beach tomorrow for a week.

Have a great time! What beach are you going to? We went to the Carolina/Kure beach area. We stayed at a cottage owned by a lesbian couple. They own 7 cottages there and it was awesome to check in somewhere that was LGBT friendly. We have checked in places before that were not very nice!

Have a great time. If I hear anything about Obama coming back I will let you know!
