CBS Cancels ‘Guiding Light,’ Soap With 72-Year History - NYTimes.com
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/02/ar...on/02ligh.html After a continual decline in ratings, one of our New York soaps Guiding Light has been canceled. Bites the dust
I do agree that writing and production are important in making a great show. I guess 'Guiding Light' fell victim to it. Another TV icon bites the dust.
