Arrow Pro-gaystudent "activists" across the nation are not making sound AS WE SPEAK.

Larry King PSA for Day of Silence

If you listen very carefully, you can hear the anti-gay industry trying to crawl out of its proverbial skin…

Default Today is the National Day of Silence. April 17, 2009

Carl Walker-Hoover took his life last week after enduring constant bullying, including anti-LGBT bullying. Though Carl did not identify as gay, his story is a tragic reminder that anti-LGBT bullying and harassment affects all students. Carl would have turned 12 on the Day of Silence. Learn more about his story here.

Quote:
What is the Day of Silence®?

The Day of Silence is a student-led national event that brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Students from middle school to college take some form of a vow of silence in an effort to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior. The event is designed to illustrate the silencing effect of this bullying and harassment on LGBT students and those perceived to be LGBT.
Here's the home page: http://www.dayofsilence.org/index.cfm

And if you feel lead to, you can stop in at their blog to give them some encouragement. They may be needing some when the day is done.

As we've discussed before, the anti-gays are howling with protest over the attention being brought to anti-gay bullying. So they have set up their own protest called "Day of Truth," Monday, April 20, 2009.

Quote:
What is the Day of Truth?

The Day of Truth was established to counter the promotion of the homosexual agenda and express an opposing viewpoint from a Christian perspective.
As you can see, Day of Truth defines the Day of Silence's attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment, as the "promotion of the homosexual agenda. ... It is part of their overall strategy to change how our society perceives homosexual behavior."

They say "The Day of Truth provides an opportunity to speak the Truth in love and have an honest conversation about homosexuality."

Day of Truth is being promoted by Exodus International and the Alliance Defense Fund. Exodus International is a hate group designed to convince the public -- for the sake of public policy -- that same-sex attraction is a choice.

The Alliance Defense Fund exists mostly to sue anyone or any organization that dares make a dissenting peep about their promotion of anti-gay hatred Christian values in the public sphere.

All in all, Day of Truth is not only intended to make those bringing "attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment" out to be the real bullies, but to encourage the further bullying of LGBT students, and their supporters. As their literature indicates: "The study also showed that 43 percent of the [gay] men had had more than 500 partners in their lifetime, and 28 percent had over 1,000."

And there's tons more where that came from.

I signed up as a member of Day of Truth on facebook so I could write on their wall, and this was sent to me about a week ago:
Quote:
Congressional Resolution 92 will receive an up-or-down vote on or before April 17, which is the National Day of Silence -- a day when students across America are encouraged to show their support for the homosexual community by refusing to speak.
I have no idea what's going on with that, even after Googling it several times. But here's a link to the text of the bill:

Quote:
H. CON. RES. 92

Supporting the goals and ideals of the National Day of Silence in bringing attention to anti-lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender name-calling, bullying, and harassment faced by individuals in schools.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

April 1, 2009
If anyone knows more about it, please feel free to share.

Thanks for sharing all of that Patrick. Here in Sacramento, the American River College student counsel, which is made up of a majority of Slavic evangelical students, voted in a majority not to observe the Day of Silence. Of course, it's very informal and students are not required to follow suit. Interestingly, the students voting for it have declared they are the victims, and that Day of Silence is actually a means to silence their freedom of religion.

Common tactic, for the oppressors to claim to be the victims at the hand of the gay agenda.

In the 1800s, European Americans claimed to be the victims of Native Americans.

In the 1930s in Germany, Nazis claimed to be the victims of the Jews.

In the 1950s in the US South, whites claimed to be the victims of African Americans.

It's always the same old story.

Lightbulb More on the "Day of Truth"?

Conservative groups call for school boycott on Day of Silence
By 365gay Newscenter Staff

(New York City) A coalition of conservative Christian groups is calling on parents to pull their children out of school on the National Day of Silence, scheduled to take place in hundreds of schools on Friday.

The coalition is made up of organizations that have a national history of opposing LGBT civil rights and includes The American Family Association, Campaign for Children and Families, Concerned Women for America, Liberty Council, and Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays.

My Question is, how is this truthful?

Thanks for clarifying what the day of truth is, Patrick.

Rick, you're right... it is always the same old story. I hope that will change someday.
