Zerbie,
I got a message from Jamie saying that he saw the deck in my profile. Yeah the pups are back for now. When I feel adventerous, I'll try doing it again and let you know. I just had quite the experience figuring out how to put my dogs pics in the "pet" thread that Jamie started. |

Okay Zerbie,
The "new deck" pic is once again in my profile. Let me know how you make out this time. |

Got it - apparently one must be logged in to view the pics, although one can read posts without being logged. I wasn't logged in yesterday when I tried to see it, and didn't know that made a difference. Sorry to make you work so hard, heheh!
That's a nice backyard!! You must have worked long and hard on that deck. What really struck me was, all those TREES!! It's so green! You said you live in the northeast, right? Well from here in the Phoenix valley, all those bright green trees really impress. |

Zerbie,
It took us about 6 weeks to build, and several trips to Home Depot. When we first moved here it was the end of Oct. 04, and it was already past foliage colors, so last spring & summer we saw the full effect of the trees and how nice and woodsy it is here, I love it. We live in Massachusetts, the part in between Providence RI & Cape Cod. My partner's sister and her husband moved to Arizona around the time we moved here. They live in Queen Creek, just outside of Phoenix. Okay, I'm gonna put Shep & Buddy back in my profile. |

Small world, huh? We're in Mesa, just east of Phoenix. Bought our house in Dec 04, and moved in Christmas Eve. We don't have woods, but we have citrus trees! More lemons, oranges, and grapefruit than two people could ever possibly consume. 100 times better tasting than the storebought variety, and 90% of it rotting away in the yard. Sigh.

I would never trade in my doll for anything in this world. Why? Because she brings me joy and gladness knowing she is not a real baby, making it fun for me to care for her as if she were a real baby. I wouldn't trade in my Christian faith or any of my friends for anything in this world, either.

I started a doll hobby back in September of 2007, and I've been loving it ever since. Having a baby to take care of that isn't real keeps me busy and brings me a great deal of joy. It is also helping me to become a more caring and nurturing person because I am seeing that there are other people besides myself who have needs (well, technically, my doll isn't a person, but you get the idea), plus I am getting in a lot of practice in case my neighbor/best friend ever asks me to babysit her soon-to-be one-year-old son. I've been handling babies since my late teens, but I'm a little rusty in some areas, though, because it's been several years now since I've last helped look after an infant. Great post!
