Default Banned for being gay.

Recently as a gay Christian I have visited many 'Christian' websites and posted on forums to back up my claims that God does not hate gays.
My posts are of course not put on the forums by the moderators and recently one website banned me for explaining to a youth who was going out of his mind being both gay and Christian because I pointed out that the sin of Sodom was as Jesus had said 'in-hospitality'.
The sheer unfairness of it all sickens me especially when lives are on the line.
"You do not enter the Kingdom yourselfs not do you let others enter...Blind guides, hypocrites all", springs to mind.
These same gays on these 'typical' website forums are not under the title 'homosexual' when they post, but usually something sinister such as 'sexual orientation problems' or 'mental health'.
It doesn't seem to matter how much you point out that Jesus was himself an outcast, that he said there would be a 'small flock' etc...the conventional church just cannot seem to grasp that.
"My people are destroyed through lack of knowledge".
"Blind guides".

The other thing that makes me laugh is the number of people who refrain from masturbation as though they are doing God some great service.
They even count how many days they have gone without and post their 'achievement' online on the forums for all to see, saying such things as;
"Day 23! Lord give me the strength to last another day".
Whoopee!
When I asked them to show me one passage of scripture that says you cant play with yourself they failed to produce one (surprise surprise), and when i pointed out that God was more concerned with them following his last and most important command "Love each other as I have loved you", again I was shunned.
It's so sad because these gay Christians may never get to hear the truth, I just hope they "Search the scriptures" as commanded to come to a full realization of the truth.

Now, I'm not perfect, and who knows that more than God. After all, that's why he sent his son, so that WHOMSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED.

Pah, sometimes I feel like I'm just wasting my time. I wonder if most Christians actually even read their Bible.
The really sad thing is that if Jesus walked into most Christians lives right now they would crucify him all over again.
"They worship me with their lips but their hearts are far from me".
No wonder Jesus says in the last days most will fall for the lie.

So there you have it, I've been banned from the very church yet again for speaking the truth or for going against conventional nonsense...Rejected just like Christ was. God must be so upset It's actually him I feel sorry for.
Me? I will go on preaching the truth as far as I see it, or at least be open enough to incorporate new ideas and to show more concern over how much love (God) I have in my heart than how often I stroke my down-belows.

I wish this website had more people on the forums and I will do my best to bring people here because I can feel God at work here.

So thank you for this website.

if you want an answer to the masterbation question it has to do with the lust the act comes with the act of masterbation. do you have lust in your heart when you masterbate? of course they dont read the part where you shouldnt judge each other.....

I just answered the question.

when it comes to this I like the saying "judge not" your sin is yours I have to worry about my sin ( and boy I have alot of my own sin to worry about )

Default Know the Feeling

Hi Marc. I am a trans-gender person who has been saved for over 35 years. I understand how you feel because I have met many who have experienced what you have. God loves me just the same and he loves you, too.

I'm saddened that you were banned for trying to help the young person reconcile being gay and Christian. I admire you for your efforts. Being trans-gender has helped me to really search the scriptures because too many LGBT people have been victims of bible abuse by so-called 'Christians'.

Feel free to post here often. My heart goes out to you.

Gennee

Smile Hi, Marc!

I totally agree with you, dude, and I feel ashamed for those so-called Christians who shunned you for speaking the truth. I also agree that masturbation is overrated and should be a personal matter, not something you stop doing just because someone says you should. I've tried looking for it in the Bible, too, and couldn't find it anywhere. I even have a close friend who believes it's in the Bible, but when I asked her where exactly, she said, "I don't remember." Hmmm! I guess that's her polite way of saying, "We don't need to discuss this right now." But if I'm not supposed to masturbate, then why won't anyone tell me how I can stop doing it, rather than make me feel condemned for enjoying the body that God gave me? Anyway, thanks for your post. It was very insightful. I think you took the words right out of my mouth, dude!

The only reference(s) to masturbation in the Bible, so far as I know, are in the Old Testament, and deal with the law in which, if a man died and left a childless widow, his brother was obligated to marry that widow and attempt to get her pregnant. (To paraphrase slightly. XD ) And there is at least one passage that says that it is wrong for the brother to "spill his seed on the ground" rather than get his brother's widow pregnant. In which case the prohibition wasn't about masturbation, but about refusing to give his brother's widow a child.

There might be others, I'm not 100% sure. But those are the only ones I know of.

Having read the entire bible, I can verify that those are the only instances where masturbation is mentioned, but then Leviticus also says you're not supposed to eat shrimp or wear polyester clothes.

Default I had to walk away from the church to miss it

When I was ready to embrace my homosexuality, I felt like I had to leave behind my Christianity. I started to really miss fellowshiping with other believers which started the search for the truth. Soulforce, Mel White and others here are my beacon right now. I hope that these Christians stop bashing their heads against the Christian wall because it isn't likely they will ever hear the truth about Christ's love and acceptance. Fighting the urges will only lead to disaster. I had to fail at two marriages to realize that. Maybe they have to leave it behind to miss it, then start to search for other gay Christians. How can we lead them away from the oppression and into the light?

it is truly sad how so many Christians are so close-minded about homosexuality. I pray that someday they will know God's amazing truth, and will see that God loves all of us equally. I was torn between being true to myself, and true to what I had always been taught was right, until I read Rev. Mel White's article. It showed me that being true to myself did not mean I had to go against what my church had taught me. Hopefully many more people will come to this same realization rather than leaving the Church completely.

Amen!

If one believes Christ was all He is recorded as claiming Himself to be, they cannot leave the church completely. They can exit that particular building, not the body of believers... I wonder if that is enough to make one a loyal and productive homosexual who's fighting the good fight..
