Default Friend going to India as a Student Misssionary...

Perhaps it's a little weird to come here and ask for help, but I need to do everything I can to support her and this trip.
-----
I have a friend who is going to go to India for a year to work in an orphanage. We all struggle with money, but I ask you to please give to this worthy cause. Even if it is only $10-$50, it would help her to reach her goal. It will change her life in the most amazing way and it will change the lives of the children she will be working with.

She wrote me: "This year for my junior year at Southern Adventist University [SAU], I felt like God was calling me to do a year as a student missionary. The opportunity presented itself that the place would be India. I got all my jobs worked out for the following year, and it seemed like a perfect time to go between switching my major from nursing to elementary education with a music minor with a concentration in vocal performance. One after another the doors were opening to go. I was supposed to go to a place where a student missionary [SM] was last year. When she came back she said things about how badly the place had mistreated her. The SM coordinator told us that there is no way that she is sending us there. That SAME day someone from AsianAid USA came to talk to the SM coordinator to see if Southern would be able to become partners with them to send SMs to their institutions. Everything seemed to be going well until the orphanage that we were supposed to go to got flooded by some water that had washed through by a monsoon. They are rebuilding as we are speaking my room will be ready by the 25th of September. This year SAU has a new SM director. Unlike the previous one, this SM director wants ALL the funding to be met BEFORE the ticket is bought. Originally I was supposed to raise $4,000, but now my goal was dropped to $3,000. I have raised $1,660.00. Enough for my ticket to go. I am not needing a stipend because I am being provided with food and boarding. I still need $1,340.00 to go. My God is an awesome God. I'm positive that He is going to provide. Thank you so much for helping me find people who are willing to help! It is truly an answer to prayer! BTW. Whatever I raise after I have met the $3,000.00 will be a "stipend" if I needed to get necessities."

If you would be willing to help out, please let me know and I'll PM you with all the info., to protect her, I won't post her name or anything in public.
